A caretaker family, who resides in a separate part of the large building, are at your disposal at any times. As the main skiing slopes of the Wurmberg are a mere mile away, the unique location of the holiday flats are especially popular with skiers. Wurmberg’s middle ski lift station is located only a few minutes away and skiing downhill allows one to take the cable car full length up to the mountaintop. There’s no better way to start a nice winter day’s activity. Hiking enthusiasts will also get their money’s worth during all seasons. Numerous well marked hiking trails, such as the famous Harzer Hexenstieg (Harz Witches’ Trail), invite you to explore the legendary nature of the Harz mountains. Further excursions into the surrounding area include: Monsterroller Braunlage, Adventure Golf Park, Harz Narrow Gauge Railways, St. Andreasberg Observatory, Zwinger in Goslar (historical landmark), Blankenburg Castle. Within half an hours’ car ride one reaches Iberg‘s picturesque Stalactite cave and the Bocksberg Ski resort in Hahnenklee.
