Werfenweng is on of the 5 alpine gems of Austria; it enjoys a stunning, idyllic setting and can be reached within minutes from the A10 motorway. The surroundings and vistas are truly breathtaking and provide you with everything you’d expect of a mountain location. The apartment complex is situated within walking distance from the town centre and on the left-hand side of the top floor, you’ll find this spacious penthouse. The first thing you’ll notice upon entering your accommodation, is the enormous amount of space you’ll have at your disposal. The living room has a high-quality interior and has been furnished with a keen eye for detail. It features a spacious lounge area, a nice dining table and there’s a beautiful open kitchen. The patio doors provide access to a covered terrace. All the bedrooms are nicely furnished too, with high-quality materials including the comfortable box spring beds. In addition to the 3 bedrooms, you’ll have 2 bathrooms at your disposal. In the basement of the complex, you’ll find a wonderful sauna, which is for communal use and a great place to relax. There’s also a storage area here, where you can leave your ski gear and dry your boots in winter, or store your bikes in summer. The penthouse comes with 2 parking spaces, one of which is covered. Werfenweng is a very attractive region, both in winter and summer. The town centre offers plenty of shops and restaurants, and can be reached on foot. On hot days, the nearby Wengsee lake is the perfect place to cool down. Other activities include hiking, mountain biking, interesting day trips, a visit to the city of Salzburg, adventure parks and paragliding. In winter, the modern skiing area offers blue, red and black pistes, making it perfect for young families. Other winter activities include cross-country skiing (57km), snow boot walking and sleigh rides. Definitely highly recommended! Werfenweng is a small family ski resort, but is close to the largest ski area in Europe, namely the Ski Amadé. (In total 270 ski lifts and cable cars and more than 860 km of slopes).
