Maison de vacances – PUY-L’EVÊQUE
Authentic "en pierre" house near the Lot river.
This comfortable, centrally-located holiday home in Puy-l’Evêque (4km) offers the very best of four worlds: the Dordogne, Lot-et-Garonne, Tarn-et-Garonne, and of course, Lot. Before you go exploring, take a look at the large, furnished fenced terrace to the south. A whole host of varieties of tree ensures there is a steady supply of fresh fruit and nuts depending on the season: apples, plums, cherries, almonds and chestnuts. Puy-l’Evêque is home to restaurants, a supermarket and a bakery. In this extremely wealthy southwestern corner of France, steeped in history and culture, you’ll find medieval towns, bastides and castles. Certainly worth a visit! Château de Bonaguil, Villefranche-du-Périgord, Belvès, Tournon-d’Agenais, Penne-d’Agenais, Villeneuve-sur-Lot et Montcuq, just to name a few. On the way here, there’s the issue of whether you’ll be able to resist the temptation of taking a tasting tour through the vineyards – the renowned Cahors wines are not to be sneezed at! You can pick up this fantastic wine for yourself in Cahors (35km). But before you do, why not come here for the shopping or to take a look at the famous medieval fortified bridge, Pont Valentré? Still want to do some taste-testing in Cahors? Combine it with an extended lunch at one of the many restaurants here. Extra information: This holiday home only offers Dutch TV channels.
