Detached holiday home in a small-scale holiday park, uniquely located in the Frisian lake area. Meeting point for many water sports enthusiasts, cyclists, hikers and anglers. The rustic holiday area around Gaastmeer offers good possibilities to escape the hustle and bustle. From your boat you can discover the beauty of the natural surroundings. Beautiful historical towns like Workum, Bolsward and Stavoren are within cycling or sailing distance. You can rent a sailing boat from the owner; please indicate this in advance. This wonderful holiday home offers a pleasant living room with a wood stove, terrace and a view of the water. There’s a great, large dining table where you can all sit together and enjoy a delicious breakfast, lunch of dinner. The simple, nice bathroom with shower and toilet can also be found on the ground floor. By means of a somewhat steep staircase you’ll reach the first floor, where you’ll find three pleasant bedrooms. The double bed in one of the bedrooms is 140 cm wide. The TV can be used to watch DVDs. Gaastmeer is an excellent starting point for a trip with a canoe or sloop. Sailors can reach the Heegermeer, the Fluessen, the Gaastmeer and the Zandmeer without bridges. Gaastmeer offers lots of possibilities, especially for peace-seeking holidaymakers. It’s an excellent area for tours with a canoe or a sloop on the many lakes surrounding Gaastmeer. It’s also a good starting point for cyclists and hikers, who can find surprising tours in the area. For example, the cycling route through the Heidenskip to Workum (with its Jopie Huisman museum) can be called unique; you will cross the Inthiemasloot with the special bicycle ferry. There are three bicycles at the holiday home, ready for you to use. The holiday home is situated by the quiet Gaastmeer, a wonderful place to go sailing in the evening, nice and quiet. There’s a direct connection to the large lakes (Fluessen, Heegermeer).
