The little train of Wildschönau has been an attraction in the Hochtal, South from the Inntal, since the summer of 1996. It runs in summer and winter at 10 km/h and brings you to the most beautiful places in the typical Tyrolean landscape. You will also find the wood museum in Wildschönau. The museum was crowned "Schatzhaus" of Austria in 1998. The region is perfect in summer for lovely walks and cycling trips in the mountains. Whether you like ski, langlauf, sledging or snowboarding : anything is possible in winter in the Wildschönau. The region has 25 mountain lifts and 65 km very well maintained ski slopes. Or what do you think of a romantic walk through the glittering snow ? From your holiday home the distance to the nearest ski slopes is about 5 km. Classic slopes and 2 skating pistes (50 km in total) are at the disposal of the langlauf fans here and lead to the most beautiful spots of the valley. Enjoy the magnificent nature of the Wildschönau here – both in winter and summer.
