Holiday house with central location, good starting point for excursions
This house, located in the centre of the village of Irsch, is built in the Mediterranean style and was fully renovated in 2010. You will stay in a very well-appointed home, fitted out with great care. The houses two balconies (12m and 30m) invite you to linger awhile. There are wonderful views over the green landscape from one of the balconies. The wine-making village of Irsch is located in a former side branch valley of the Saar, in the Saar-Upper Moselle region, in the middle of Saar-Hunsrück nature sanctuary. Here, sun-bathed vine slopes alternate with forested Mittelgebirg landscapes and broad meadows. The region is perfectly suited for escaping from the hurly-burly of the city and discovering the delights of nature. You should not fail to visit Trier (approx. 20 km), Germanys oldest town with its well-known Roman monuments, Saarburg (approx. 2 km), a romantic medieval town, and the Saar loops at Mettlach (approx. 15 km). Whilst at Mettlach, the Villeroy & Boch Museum is well worth a visit. In short, a real find for hikers, culture-vultures, cyclists and wine-lovers.
