Alpine wooden chalet by the forest, full of charm and style, dogs welcome
Buchenblatt was built 35 years ago and it is made of red maple and pine woods. You get the whole house, which is perched on a hill, at the entrance of the forest path and it offers amazing views of the hills and the surrounding forests. There is no passing traffic. The house has two levels, ground floor and first floor. The two levels are linked internally by a staircase and both levels can also be accessed externally from the garden. There is a bathroom on each floor. The kitchen, dining area, lounge and one bedroom are located on the first floor, including a very large balcony where you can have your meals al fresco and enjoy the beautiful panoramic view. Downstairs, there are two bedrooms and a bathroom. One of the bedrooms on this level is a very large family room where four people can sleep comfortably. There is a wood stove on each floor which warm the house very nicely but we also have electric radiators. The lounge offers a lot of entertainment, tv, dvd player, a collection of DVDs in English, German and Dutch, Wii console and wii games. We also have a selection of family board games at the property. The nearest ski lifts and cross-country runs are about 12km away, but the property is also about 35min by car from the big winter-sports resorts of Winterberg and Alt-Asterberg. Buchenblatt is about 50m from two recommended forrest walking trails, and the Eder cycle path passes through the village, providing a continuous cycle-path along the Eder river to the Edersee lake, about 35km away.
