Homely, pleasant gîte surrounded by serenity, nature, and antiques.
Unwind in the heart of Normandy’s natural surrounds in this delightful gîte with its very friendly British host and hostess. Having fallen in love with all the beauty this part of France has to offer, Sue and John ended up in Saint-Clair-sur-l’Elle more than a decade ago. They’ve personally transformed this old barn into a warm and truly lovely place with room for four guests. The house has its own driveway and garden with terrace, a great spot to relax. Bird songs, French sun – this is a place everyone will enjoy. Surrounded by forest and walking tracks and barely half an hour from the coast, you can choose from an endless variety of options. You can cycle, too – just head out and the region lies open in front of you. To shop, you don’t even have to go out the door. You’ll find antique items throughout the house. Many have price tags on them and can be purchased as souvenirs of your holiday. Are you looking for some other kind of shop or history? Towns such as Saint-Lô, Bayeux and even Caen are within easy reach. The impressive Mont Saint-Michel, an hour’s drive away, is very suitable for a day trip.
