Beautiful, authentic half-timbered house; modern amenities, garden and terrace
Staying in this beautiful home is all the reason you need to visit Germany. It is rare for a holiday house to reflect the style of the country as nicely as this one does. Even from the outside you can see the lovely dark wooden beams set in the white walls and upon entering you can immediately tell that this charming style continues throughout the interior. The owner lived here when she was a young girl, though of course the necessary modern amenities have been added since then. There is a fully equipped kitchen and a spacious bathroom with a tub and shower, and the floors are heated. If you would like it even warmer you can put some logs in the cosy woodstove. When the weather is nice you can enjoy the unfenced garden on two sides of the house, as well as the spacious sunny terrace. This makes a fantastic base for hikes and bike rides (Premium trails). Other sights, such as villages and castles on the Rhine or Mosel and the historic centre of Koblenz, are within quick reach. This area is also popular with motorcyclists. Starting in September 2015, the longest canopy bridge in Germany will be finished; it will cross the Mörsdorfer Bachtal.
