The Giant of Horebeke is a restored windmill from 1816 in the heart of the hilly Flemish Ardennes. The interior is sober and soothing but with all modern amenities and a well equipped kitchen. The restoration was possible using ecological and sustainable materialen.De organic cotton duvets are filled with Alpaca wool. This contains no lanolin so no chance of dust mites. This makes them suitable for people with allergies and astma.De mill has a garden of 13 a, fully shielded with a haag.Er is a terrace with BBQ.In rural Horebeke is no industry. The region is known for its panoramic vistas, rolling meadows, some wind and water mills but also by the Geuzenhoek (Korsele) with its Protestant community and the old cemetery. Protected weeping beech 150 years old with a 5 m radius and a plaque William I. are worth a stroll waard.De teacher’s house was the birthplace of Abraham Hans, Protestant poet – journalist – writer and is now museum.Oudenaarde is near (City Hall, MOU, Museum Tour of Flanders). Nearby there are several hiking trails (Burreken, A.Hanspad ….). The cycling fans will be familiar with the area of u200bu200bThe Tour of Flanders. Bikes can be provided.
