Impressive castle surrounded by a beautifully landscaped garden with privat pool
Via the beautiful gate you get to the courtyard of your small chateaux, which is surrounded by an old castle wall. Inside it is furnished atmospherically and authentically. There is a large dining room with a gorgeous fireplace. Apart from the building, a lot of attention was paid to the 1 hectare park-like garden. Amidst the age-old cedars and chestnut trees lies the pool, from where you have a great view of the area. The nicest spot is the landing, which can be enjoyed all summer round. The impressive estate is 1 km from the village Saux and 30 km from Cahors. This is the cultural capital of the Lot department. The department (also known as Quercy) lies southwest of the Dordogne. There are several caves, such as that of Pech-Merle and Gouffre de Padirac. The capital of the region is the medieval town of Cahors, known for its old and famous Pont Valentré, Europes oldest gothic defence bridge. In the well-known wine region of Cahors you can find many wine chateaus, along the lovely meandering river Lot.
