Beautiful holiday home on the French-German border in the hilly Mosel
This special holiday home is located in the village of Schwerdorff, literally on the Franco-German border in the north of the Mosel. Making up your mind about going to France or Germany is not necessary! Thanks to the spacious backyard with a sunny terrace and lawn and large meadow (with a chicken coop), every animal lover feels right at home! Small children can together with the homeowner, a real horse lover, make a pony walk (€10 p/h). Would you like to bring your own horse on holiday? That is also possible! Space enough in the meadow and horse stable where hay and straw are also at your disposal. In Waldweistroff (8 km) you can do the daily shopping. But if you like, the nice homeowner can also prepare a wonderful breakfast. Schwerdorff lies between the cities Thionville (42 km), Mondorf-les-Bains (15 km) and Saarlouis (24 km). The village is, like many other places in this area, exchanged several times in the past. Schwerdorff lies in a lovely and quiet hilly landscape that is ideal for cycling or forest walks (on foot or on horseback). Medieval towns in the area are Sierck-les-Bains (21 km, also health resort) and Manderen (23 km) where the castle of Malbrouck is located. In Bouzonville (12 km) you can rent canoes for a trip on the river Nied.Also you will find a tennis court, supermarket and weekly market held on Tuesday. Lake Losheim (40 km) and Walibi amusement park in Metz (65 km). Enough to see / do!
